But are you really holding the pen, or has someone else been writing for you?
The stories we tell ourselves and others aren’t just memories, even if it feels like an afternoon swapping memories and playing the “tell me when” game with my daughter.
“Tell me the story about when I was a baby and you couldn’t trick me into saying my name!”
“Tell me the one where I failed the ABC portion of my IQ test because I was bored.”
We all feel that pull toward a good story. These stories draw us in because they’re more than just entertainment. They shape our confidence, influence our choices, and determine how boldly we step into what’s next.
Our stories live at every level of life:
Some stories become anchors that hold us steady.
My daughter is proud of her stubborn ability to think for herself. Her stories ground her in a strong identity, especially when she faces tough decisions.
Others weigh us down.
A dear friend of mine kept a pair of size-zero jeans she could barely zip. Her story tied her value to thinness, and every fluctuation in weight shook her sense of worth.
Stories answer our biggest questions: Who am I? Where do I belong? What does my life mean?
In the Invisible to Unstoppable program, we uncover these stories through the 6 Emotional Intelligence Pillars of Visibility, helping you see clearly which ones to honor and which to rewrite:
Stories are more than memories or entertainment. They are the framework for healing, growth, and how we show up in the world.
They can trap us in trauma. Or guide us toward resilience.
They can shrink us. Or help us take up more space.
When you choose your stories with intention, you’re not denying the hard parts, you’re reclaiming the power to decide what they mean.
That’s the heart of the Invisible to Unstoppable program: helping you rewrite your inner narrative so you can live it fully.
If your stories are holding you back, you don’t have to rewrite them alone.
This week in our Circle, we’re diving deep into how stories shape our lives. We’ll explore:
Circles are free, informal gatherings where women share, reflect, and connect in a safe, supportive space.

Come with an open mind, a curious heart, and maybe a story or two.
Because the story you tell could be the one that changes everything.
